So far this week...
I may have cheated a bit on my "modified bed rest" to make some de-E-licious oatmeal cookies, where I ate way too many right out of the oven. Am I the only one who can't stop after 4, 5...maybe 6 freshly baked cookies?? (alright fine! fine! 7!)
E apparently channeled her innner zoolander.
There's been many moments of this face looking at me and me thinking "Is it seriously just 9 am and I have already exhausted all my resources? Seriously?!"
There's been many hours of playing "pasta play-dough . O, you don't know that game?? Well you cut and roll play-dough in all sorts of different pasta shapes, not gonna lie, I am pretty professional at making orichiette by now.
Ok-and I am really excited about this one. I kind of learned how to crochet! Thanks to the help of two darling friends and many MANY youtube videos, I have learned how to make a granny square!
"Mom quit bragging about your granny squares and focus on me"
Ok ok one last look. Ahhh, the therapeutic sigh of accomplishing something. I am proud. So so proud since I almost gave up more times than I can count...
"Moooom! Seriously!"
O, and I know you are dying for that oatmeal cookie recipe, so go ahead and head on over here to get it!
And here's for something fun! My darling cousin has a super cute fam blog and she is having a giveaway! Make sure to head on over by clicking HERE and comment on her post in order to be entered into the giveaway. Yay for giveaways!...alright, and a little crack of the knuckles and I am off to create with some playdough.

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you learned to crochet. I can attest to its sanity saving qualities during times when one needs patience. Plus, the act of creating something fills up the soul. I love the colors you picked for your granny squares, too! I'm so happy that things are on an even keel for you; I think of you often.
