I hear those sleigh bells ring-a-ling...

Can you believe tis the season already to be jolly (or stressed!) and start thinking about Christmas !  I think I'm excited...I think.  No-no I am.  Once I have presents behind me I will be in full enjoy Christmas mode.  I love this time of year, as much as I love the warm months, there's just a beautiful holiday feeling during Christmas time.  So-you don't know what to get your daughter?  Nieces?  Friends?  Little girls' friends?!  Well I have a great idea for ya!

First of all, I would like to say thank you to the art of crochet.  It has for now saved me from insanity since I am on modified-ish bed rest (remember?  Cause of that pesky blood clot in my uterus??)  Anyways, it's given me something to do and I feel more productive, and I actually am starting to love it.  I think crocheting and I have a long future together.

So I was messing around yesterday and took a whack at making a crochet flower.  Once the flower was completed I realized that it needed to go with a headband, one thing lead to another and this fun head band was created!  It was super simple, such a great beginner project (which I am such a beginner ) and it's got me excited to make some of them for Christmas gifts.

 Pshh...Diva's.

If you are thinking that you would like to make some too, here are the links to the youtube videos that helped me create it.  Can I just say thank you for youtube?  And thank you to all those lovely ladies who have made crochet youtube videos!  I am such a visual learner that I honestly think it's been the only way for me to learn by watching videos over and over (and over) again.

O, and since I am obsessed with crocheting right now, check out my friends etsy shop hookmiup!  She makes crocheted hello kitty dolls, they are adorable!  I am getting E one for Christmas, so there's another Christmas gift idea for ya!

    1. My next project is going to be a beanie-why do they intimidate me? There are lots of beanie tutorials on youtube, I think those loom things are for crocheting and I hear they make beanie making super simple. I love this relationship we have through blogging :)
